Terms of Use

Welcome to My Heirloom (the "App"). By downloading, accessing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use (the "Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the App. The App is available on iOS (Apple App Store) only.

1. License

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes, subject to these Terms.

2. App Purpose

My Heirloom helps users explore AI-estimated heritage and optional faith-themed AI previews based on optional photos and inputs you provide.
The App is provided for reflection and entertainment purposes. Results are not statements of fact, ancestry, genetics, or genealogical records, and are not medical or professional advice.

3. Purchases, Subscriptions, and Payments

The App offers premium features via auto-renewable weekly subscriptions through the Apple App Store:

- Weekly Subscription: $9.99 USD/week, with a free trial or introductory price where offered (as shown in the App before purchase).

Premium access unlocks premium functionality in the App.

Actual prices may vary by country/region, local currency, taxes, and App Store pricing rules. The final applicable price is shown in-app before purchase confirmation.

Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase.

Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.

Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period unless canceled in advance.

You can manage, cancel, or modify subscriptions at any time in your Apple ID / App Store account settings after purchase.

If a free or introductory trial is offered, any unused portion may be forfeited upon subscription purchase, where permitted by law.

Refunds are handled by the Apple App Store under Apple's billing and refund policies. If you subscribed on our website, contact info@maverix.agency for billing help.

We do not directly collect or store full payment card details.

Purchase status and entitlement validation are managed via RevenueCat. RevenueCat may process anonymous user identifiers, purchase metadata, and limited device-level information for subscription validation, analytics, fraud prevention, and service reliability.

4. Accounts and Access (No Password Login)

My Heirloom does not use traditional email-and-password registration or login in the App.

If you subscribe on our website, you provide an email address for billing and to link your subscription to the App. We create or link a Firebase Authentication profile for that email. You are not required to choose or remember a password.

If you install from the App Store without a web purchase, we do not collect your email. We assign an anonymous Firebase user ID.

When you open the App after a web purchase, access is activated through a secure, time-limited sign-in flow (including one-time links and Firebase custom authentication tokens). We use secure tokens and limited device signals to link your web purchase to the App install. You sign in automatically where supported; we do not send standing login passwords by email.

You can delete your account at any time in the App under Settings → Delete Account.

5. User Content and AI Processing

When you use the App, you may submit optional photos and heritage-related inputs. This content is processed by us and our service providers to generate heritage previews.

By using these features, you authorize us and our service providers to process this content solely to provide App functionality.

- Heritage preview results are stored on server-side infrastructure and referenced in the App.
- The App stores links and related metadata for your reports and saved content.
- Optional photos are processed for heritage analysis and are not retained longer than necessary for service operation.

6. User Conduct

You agree not to:

- Reverse engineer, decompile, modify, or copy the App (except where legally permitted).
- Use the App for unlawful, harmful, fraudulent, or infringing purposes.
- Upload content you do not have rights to use.
- Resell or distribute the App or its content without permission.

7. Push Notifications

We may offer push notifications in a future update for reminders, updates, and product messages. If enabled, you can manage or disable notifications in your device settings.

8. Third-Party Services

The App may rely on third-party services (including AI providers, analytics, infrastructure, subscription management, and attribution providers such as AppsFlyer).
These services may be subject to separate terms and privacy policies.

9. Attribution and Marketing Measurement

The App uses AppsFlyer for install attribution, campaign measurement, and in-app analytics. Where required by applicable law (including on iOS), tracking is only performed where user consent has been granted. Additional details are in our Privacy Policy at https://heirloomfamily.us/privacy/

10. Intellectual Property

All content, designs, branding, and code within the App are owned by us or our licensors and protected by intellectual property laws.
You may not copy, distribute, or create derivative works without written permission.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind.
We do not guarantee the App will be error-free, uninterrupted, or suitable for your intended purpose. We do not guarantee the accuracy of any heritage-related estimates or outputs.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, or similar damages arising from your use of the App.

13. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time, without prior notice, if you violate these Terms or where required for legal, security, or operational reasons.

14. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Updates become effective when posted at https://heirloomfamily.us/terms/ or in the App.
Your continued use of the App after updates means you accept the revised Terms.

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by applicable laws of your country of residence unless otherwise required by mandatory consumer protection law.
